Terms of service.

Furst Class Canine has updated our terms of service and cancellation policies for all current and future clients.  Electronic signature acknowledgment will be required at least 72 hours before the first grooming appointment (or next scheduled appointment for current clients) through our online booking software. Accepting a scheduled booking and/or service assumes your having READ and ACCEPTED the following:

Pets are accepted for grooming only under the following circumstances....

  • The pet is assumed by Furst Class to be fit and healthy and shall not be held liable for any unknown or known conditions which may be worsened by care despite our best efforts.

  • Grooming services which take place for an elderly or infirm pet will be at the owner's risk.

  • Grooming may expose pre-existing health\skin conditions for which Furst Class Canine LLC cannot be held liable.

  • The pet's rabies vaccine as well as general annual vaccinations are up to date (as required by law) unless otherwise discussed.

  • In the event of an emergency, in your absence and if we are unable to contact you, you authorize Furst Class Canine LLC to contact the nearest Veterinarian and authorize the Vet to treat the pet as necessary at your expense. 

  • We do NOT offer anal gland expression, as this should be performed by a licensed veterinarian. Many complications can arise from this medical PROCEDURE and should only be carried out by a licensed medical pet health professional.

  • “De-matting" and/or complete coat removal (shaving) will dramatically alter your pet's appearance. This procedure may expose pre-existing health\skin problems for which Furst Class Canine LLC cannot be held liable. Additionally, we reserve the right to terminate service or decline extensive de-matting in severe cases we deem to be in the best interest of the pet.

  • Pets that have pests (fleas and ticks) or unhealthy, contagious skin conditions or other infections may result in the appointment being cancelled at the stylist’s discretion and the cancellation fee of up to full grooming rate will be applied.

  • If your pet has any behavioral issues or health concerns, we must be notified at the time of booking or as soon as possible upon a diagnosis of a medical condition.  We reserve the right to terminate services if we feel grooming may be detrimental to your pet OR could cause harm to our stylists.  If services have commenced, you will be charged as a cancellation.

  • We are not responsible for accidents that may occur during a grooming session.  Dogs, while they are a part of our families, are still animals and can always have spontaneous behaviors during grooming that can result in injuries.  While our professional staff is always alert to preventing any injury as best as possible, we may not be able to prevent extreme spontaneous incidents.  Additionally, poor coat maintenance between grooming sessions can cause unknown skin irritations/abrasions or result in the necessity of more intensive grooming sessions.

  • ALL Furst Class Canine clients will be required to maintain, a four (4) week pre-booked, recurring schedule on a set route.  If an appointment is canceled or a reschedule is requested, rescheduling before the next scheduled appointment time will be at the company’s discretion, depending upon availability, and is not guaranteed.  However, if an appointment is rescheduled, the ORIGINAL pre-booked route will still be maintained for future appointments in order to maintain the integrity of the route for all clients on said route.  A 50% cancellation fee will be applied to canceled appointments given less than 72 hours notice and same day changes will incur 100% fee application.

  • While we don’t expect any complaints with grooming services, we do understand questions or issues may arise.  Any questions or complaints need to be raised with company management within 24 hours of the grooming service. We will NOT issue refunds, but we will attempt to remedy any concerns or complaints.

    PAYMENT TERMS

  • Payment is to be made at the time of service. Payment can be cash, check, online pay link, or credit card. Returned checks will incur a $35 charge. Our rates are based on the breed of the pet and duration of the groom. Nail trimming and ear cleaning are part of the service unless the process is too stressful for the pet or too dangerous for the groomer. 

  • All clients will be required to maintain a credit card on file.  This card will only be utilized in the following circumstances:  a) in the event you are unavailable to remit payment at the time of service (latch key or departure during service) or b) if an appointment is canceled within the 72 hour window prior to the scheduled appointment time. WE DO NOT AND WILL NOT “INVOICE” CLIENTS FOR DELAYED/LATER PAYMENT. Pay links will be force paid from card on file at business’ first available opportunity exceeding 12 hours.

  • First time clients will be required to pay a non refundable deposit (approximately 50% of the expected grooming fee) before the appointment is confirmed.  This deposit will be applied to the card on file and the amount of deposit will be deducted from the service total. Failure to remit payment may result in the loss of the anticipated appointment time and cause a delay in service.

    CANCELLATION POLICY

  • An appointment reminder text will be sent to you at least 72 hours before your scheduled appointment (unless booked without delay). We ask that you confirm or cancel (if necessary) at that time.  Please note that no response does not indicate a cancellation.  If you do not respond and we arrive for your appointment and you are not there, it will be considered a “no show.” (This is as a courtesy for clients who may inadvertently miss their confirmation contact. We will not automatically cancel your appointment for lack of confirmation)

  • Appointments canceled or rescheduled within the 72 hour window prior to the scheduled appointment times will be charged 50% of the grooming charge. Appointments canceled or rescheduled the same day, or ‘no shows’ (this includes but is not limited to no answer/ no access to the pet) upon arrival will result in 100% of the grooming fee charged immediately to the card on file. (In the event of family emergency, serious illness, or other uncontrollable event, Furst Class Canine LLC has the discretion to waive the cancellation fee.)

  • Repeated cancellations/rescheduled appointments within 72 hours will result in a 50% deposit being charged prior to booking. The deposit will be applied to the grooming service charge at the time of service. Repeated cancellations or reschedules on same day may result in either a required prepayment at booking or loss of service going forward at the discretion of Furst Class Canine LLC. Cancellations will result in the deposit being forfeited in all cases.

  • Please understand, cancellation fees are not applied to be a punishment to our clients.  When appointments are canceled, it directly affects our stylists’ income, and we need to make sure they are still somewhat compensated for that lost appointment.

  • Furst Class Canine LLC reserves the right to cancel appointments as needed (inclement weather, stylist illness, mechanical issues, etc).  Every effort will be made to reschedule the appointment at a time convenient for you and the stylist. The nature of our operations do include the risk of requiring to reschedule in rare cases though all possible measures to prevent this will be taken.
